The word codex comes from the Latin word caudex, meaning “trunk of a tree”, “block of wood” or “book”.

The Codex: Machinae Muerte is living documentation and a guide to the world of Machinae Muerte. As the universe grows and more characters are discovered, they will be added here complete with images, concept art and descriptions. Some descriptions may be redacted to keep people safe from spoilers.

Machinae Muerte is the title of the universe, and eventual comic series, I’ve been working on for almost five years.

This Codex will house all of the lore, character design, world notes and secrets of the Machinae Muerte universe. Parts of this Codex will only be accessible to those following along with the books. Some will only be accessible by patrons and collectors of original art.

This is a living, interactive manifestation of a little universe that grows every single day.
